Makes

  • 1 commercial oven tray or 1.5 conventional oven trays, 9 slices.

Variations

  • Everyday margherita: 1 cup master vege pasta sauce, 1 sprig basil roughly chopped and 2 cups mozzarella (HSR > 3.5*) or reduced-fat tasty cheese (HSR > 3.5*). Spread sauce over pizza base, sprinkle basil and cheese evenly. Bake at a moderate heat for 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Everyday supreme: 1 cup master vege pasta sauce, ½ cup cooked lean beef (HSR > 3.5*) mince, 1.5 cups mixed veg (capsicum, mushroom, spinach), 2 cups mozzarella (HSR > 3.5*) or reduced-fat tasty cheese (HSR > 3.5*). Spread sauce over pizza base, sprinkle basil and cheese evenly. Bake at a moderate heat for 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Everyday hawaiian: 1 cup master vege pasta sauce, 50g low-fat ham (HSR > 3.5*) finely chopped, 220g tin of pineapple pieces in juice (drained) and 2 cups mozzarella cheese (HSR > 3.5*) or reduced-fat tasty cheese (HSR > 3.5*). Spread sauce over pizza base, sprinkle toppings evenly, finishing with cheese. Bake at a moderate heat for 15 minutes or until golden.

Tips

  • add vegetable toppings or garlic and olive oil to make a garlic bread option.
